Alfa Romeo 156 Sportwagon 2.0 TS Veloce (2002) This car was purchased from the original owner in Sept 2004 with 26000 miles on the clock. Initially I covered quite a few miles in this vehicle but latterly it has only been doing about 8 or 9k a year. I took it off the road in Sept 2012 and it has been garaged since then. The tax has expired. However it is an excellent runner and it has always started first time every time. MOT due April 16th 2013. The Bad: The front suspension has a knock (Inner front track rod ball joint I believe) The radiator is in fairly poor condition. Possible thermostat issue and some leaking. It still cools well but will need replacing eventually (not a problem in most weather but runs a little hot if it gets above 25 degrees). There are a number of minor car park dings, notably a scrape on the rear nearside bumper (plastic so no corrosion) and the front nearside bumper has been knocked so that the headlight washer has fallen into the cavity beneath (slight damage to the number plate but no apparent damage to the bumper itself. The front wheels have slight curb scuffs and are slightly discoloured. The cam belt did go in Dec 2009 but a new head was purchased and it was fully repaired with a new water pump at the same time The rear wiper is not working and probably needs a new motor (not an MOT failure) The Good: Other than that the car is in very good condition for the miles covered. As you can see from the pictures it still looks fantastic and drives even better. The car has been serviced regularly at 12000 mile or annually when lower miles covered but there are some gaps in the service book. This is because it was serviced by my fathers business mechanic (airport car business) on the side. The interior is in great condition and is full Momo black leather. The climate control is still ice cold. All four tyres have plenty of tread left on them. Removable tow bar fitted by previous owner and only used for bike rack.
