Alfa Romeo Services @ The Alfa Workshop
Back in 1985 I worked by day as a mechanic for a Volkswagen garage, and evenings and weekends I used to repair both my Alfa Sud Sprint and all my friends Alfa Romeos. In 1988 I bought my 1750 Bertone Coupe and decided that I would start up on my own. At that time the model range consisted of 33s, 75s and 164s and these were largely maintained by main dealers. The market needed some independent specialists as many independent garages refused to work on Alfa Romeos, and those that did, hadn't got the necessary specialist equipment to service them properly. The Workshop was founded to solve these problems, hence the "...Run by enthusiasts for enthusiasts..." tag. Based on the Herts, Essex, Cambs borders, the garage quickly grew to its present size. I pride myself on having both the correct tools and the necessary understanding to be able to carry out any job on an Alfa Romeo. Wherever possible we like to do all repairs on site in order to maintain the necessary quality control. In order to do this we have a machine shop on the premises and we have a comprehensive range of Alfa Romeo specialist tools (see below). In December 2007 we expanded, doubling the size of our workshop and fitted a further three ramps, this has also allowed us to build a dedicated clean room for engine building together with an expanded machine shop. We have also provided an area especially for restoration work so that we can separate that from the day to day servicing work we do. All these new facilities are complimented by our dedicated waiting area with views of the cars being serviced as well as an extensive selection of Alfa Romeo loan cars
