Our carrier DHL is operating near normally across the world with its Air Express service. Allow an extra day for delivery (4 days for Australia and New Zealand), just in case.
  * For the UK only, Royal Mail are delivering the vast majority of orders on time according to our data, but is experiencing higher levels of staff absences, so there may some local delays.
  * We will be working normally and have a large warehouse full of parts that will help keep your car on the road. However, we are seeing some supply delays from factory lockdowns around the world.
Workshop Customers:

We have strict social distancing processes internally and disinfect daily (not least because we have staff in vulnerable groups). In the circumstances, we have had to close our waiting room. Our mechanics wear gloves at all times and we will disinfect your vehicle with our Zaflora sprays on handing back to you. We would respectfully ask you to show our staff the same courtesy. We also have full amount contactless payment systems.
  * In these times of fluctuating demand, it's highly advisable to book your vehicle in earlier than usual. We are currently very busy indeed.

Replacing The Front Brake Pads And Discs On An Alfa Giulia/Stelvio 2.0 (280hp)






We recommend using GENUINE brake pads as they come with new spring clips and pins, if the pins are corroded they tend to bend on removal. This 'How to' is based on the Giulia.

Remove the inspection pannel to the brake fluid reservoir.

Unscrew the cap (this is to release the pressuse when the pistons are pushed in).

Remove the front wheel.

border='1'

Tap out the x2 securing pins.

border='1'

Undo the x2 T55 bolts holding the brake caliper.

border='1'

Disconnect the brake pad 'wear indicator' sensor.

border='1'

Using two levers prise in the pistons (the caliper should now be loose).

Undo the 5mm allen disc locating lug.

border='1'

Remove the old brake disc....

....and brake pads.

border='1'

Loosely screw back in the calipers T55 bolts (this is just to hold the caliper while you clean it).

Clean the caliper with a wire brush and even a file if you need to.

Clean up the hub.

border='1'

Push the spring clip in place.

border='1'

Lube the ends of the new brake pads.

Replace the first pad and then the securing pins just far enough to hold it in place. Insert the second pad and drive the pins all the way home.

Remove the x2 T55 bolts to the caliper again then slide the new disc into the caliper and onto the hub. Put every thing back together and proceed to the other side.
